Joseph and Christine are the senior pastors of the Pentecostal Holiness churches in Malta and Gozo. They became Christians in 1988. During that time, Joseph was a precision tool and cutter engineer and worked thirteen years in an engineering factory that made hydraulic valves. Christine initially worked as a clerk with a holiday cruize company. However, she left the work to take care of her mother and later her father. She nursed her parents for twenty years. During their marriage, the couple had three children: Michael, Mark, and David. Before receiving eternal life, Joseph lived worldly and involved himself in several behaviors, such as excessive drinking, and taking illicit substances, and had a very short temper that led him into many physical confrontations. On the other hand, Christine had a quiet and gentle character, which still marks her reputation today. However, both were not yet born again. A Nigerian pastor went to work at Joseph's workplace. There he preached the gospel to Joseph and later to Christine. The couple received the Lord as their Saviour together in their sitting room. After Joseph and Christine were born again, they dedicated their lives to serve the Lord with all their hearts. They immediately began serving the Lord. First, in their local church, and later they began roaming the streets of Malta and Gozo evangelizing. Joseph is in full-time ministry, while Christine works as an account clerk to support the family. Christine also involved herself in translating study guides from ICI/Global University, and Joseph enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Bible Theology. Both loved education, and up to this time of writing, they direct Global University (known as Global Institute of Theology-Malta). Pastor Joseph Agius’ education of the highest degree. As a result of his efforts, Pastor Agius received several awards during his studies because of his excellent achievements. These are the following: • HALL OF HONOR – Global University • DELTA EPSILON TAU HONOR SOCIETY – DETC • FAMOUS ALUMNI - DEAC • SUMMA CUM LAUDE – Academic Achievement Award from Liveseed Pentecostal Church - Malta Once Joseph completes his Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies. He would be the first Maltese pastor who earned this academic degree in the Maltese Pentecostal and Evangelical church history. He is also the first qualified Maltese with the academics to qualify him as an adjunct faculty member with the rank of "Assistant Professor of the Bible. The pastors have a pioneering ministry. They pioneered Word of Life PH Church in 1990, Jesus First Center in 1992, and the first evangelical work in the Maltese prisons. They also reconstructed the Global University office and Malta and worked tirelessly for years to receive an accreditation for the school (2013). The school now offers recognized and accredited degrees up to the Master of Art (from level MQF 2 to MQF7). Pastors Joseph and Christine received their pastoral license from the International Pentecostal Holiness Church on May 21, 1994. They were then ordained as ministers of the gospel. in XXXX Our Pastors have never seized to pastor the church and help anyone that approaches them for help. The churches were pioneered from zero members. They believed that the people they pastor would be born again as the Lord worked in their lives. They have a postoral heart, and because of their care, many marriages were saved, people found direction, and hope. Others were delivered from several vises and oppressions. Their mission is to teach holiness and live the on growing sanctification life in the Holy Spirit's ability. They obeyed God's vision for Word of Life PH Church, and with many sacrifices, the church owns a block of property. The property can be further extended for more ministry space—presently, the third level is dedicated to children and youth's work. The couples' vision is that by the time of retirement age, two or more couples will be trained and equipped to continue the pastoral work. However, they also hope that several youths will also be involved in church work. The pastors are presently working with two families and their children so that when the Lord leads, the church will pass to a younger generation, with a fresh vision that fits their environment. josephagius.net
