The Pastors

Pastor Joe was born in 1962, married to Pastor Christine and have three children. They became Christians 1992. Pastor Joseph was a tool and cutter grinder by trade worked for thirteen years in an engineering factory that made hydraulic valves. Before receiving eternal life, he was a drunkard,  violent and abused drugs. He was involved in criminal acts and other rebellious and immoral activities such as practising in the occult. Pastor Christine worked as an accountant clerk but she had to give up her well- paid job because she needed to take care of her mother who was dying of cancer. After her mother died, her father had a stroke just one week before their wedding; then she had to care for him. This was a full time responsibility for her. Presently she is again working as an account clerk After the couple were born again and converted, the couple dedicated their life to serve the Lord with all their heart. They used their time to evangelize, study and visit people they met and shared the gospel. Soon after the Lord led them into their present ministry. As a couple, the pastors have a pioneering ministry. They pioneered Word of Life PH Church, Jesus First Center, and the first evangelical work in the Maltese prisons. They also reconstructed the Global University office and Malta and directed the first recognized Bible school in Malta, Global Institute of Theology-Malta.

Education

Word of Life Church is a study center for Global Institute of Theology - Malta (GIT). GIT represents Global University in the USA and licensed with the National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE). We teach different level of courses. We offer course in MQF levels 3, 5, & 6. The programs are designed to give the members of the church a solid systematic Biblical Studies in an array of subjects. Some of the church members also take a final exam for credit with Global University. The licensing of GIT is a major achievement for us Christians, since Malta did not have any recognized Bible schools. The level of GIT is the same of any other educational provider in Malta. At Word of Life we strive for all members to be students of the Word of God. We offer courses at least three times a year leading to a final exam in order to receive collage credit. We encourage you to join us. One might ask how much courses cost? GIT’s primary aim is to enable as many believers possible to study in more depth the Word of God and to raise up qualified disciples. Therefore as a result of this, the fees are structured by Global University per country since the cost of living of the US is not the same as Malta and therefore the fees reflect that cost of living making it viable for every Maltese believer to study further the Word of God. It is so important that we know in depth the Word of God since it is God’s will over our lives. Jesus told us to Go and make Disciples as his last command, how can we transit His will to others if we truly do not know it ourselves? “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” Hosea 4:6 Invest in the everlasting decide to start studying God’s Holy Word today!

History

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL PENTECOSTAL HOLINESS CHURCH

Introduction

One of the most significant developments in recent Christianity is the appearance of many pentecostal denominations throughout the world during the past century. Beginning in the United States and spreading rapidly to most nations of the world, they now comprise a major "third force" in Christendom whose phenomenal growth has commanded the attention of the world. One of the first groups to designate itself officially as a member of the Pentecostal movement was the Pentecostal Holiness Church. With roots in the midwestern and southeastern United States, the Pentecostal Holiness Church has played a significant role within the movement from the beginning.  The character of the church is to be seen in its name, which places it astride two major revival movements: the holiness revival of the late nineteenth century, and the Pentecostal revival of the twentieth century. As its distinctive contribution to contemporary Christianity, this church has attempted to preserve the Wesleyan tradition, while perpetuating the Pentecostal tradition. The fundamental faith of the church is that God's power to redeem man and society is resident in Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, who sent the Holy Spirit into the world as the Agent of salvation. It is this faith-that God's power is directly available to everyone to save, cleanse, empower, and heal-that gave the Pentecostal Holiness Church its birth. Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church
 1. We believe in one, living, true and everlasting God. His power, wisdom and goodness are infinite. He is the Maker of all things, whether they are visible or invisible. God is one, and subsists in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one in nature, are co-eternal, and are equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity.  2. We believe that God the Son became a human being and was born of the Virgin Mary. The Lord Jesus Christ is one Person with two natures, the divine nature and the human nature, true God and perfect Man. He suffered and was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, to remove God's righteous anger against sinners, and to restore sinners to fellowship with God. 3. We believe that Christ arose again from death, not only in spirit but also in body, and returned to heaven, where He is sitting at the Father’s right hand until He shall return to the earth as King and Judge. 4. We believe that the Holy Spirit who was sent by the Father and the Son is God, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, and that He shares the same nature, majesty and glory as the Father and the Son from eternity. 5. We believe that the Bible is composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, and that it was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that this Bible is the Word of God to man, giving the full and complete revelation of the plan and history of God's way of salvation for us. 6. We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is part of the blessedness which awaits those whose faith in Christ remains steadfast and true; and that those who remain unrepentant and unbelieving will be banished for ever from the presence of the Lord, with unending punishment in hell (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:7; Revelation 21:7,8). 7. We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the forgiveness of all our sins; and in order that those who repent and believe the Gospel might be regenerated (Born Again), and saved from the power of sin and the practice of sinning (Romans 3:25; 1John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10). 8. We believe and teach that a person is justified (counted righteous before God) by faith in Christ alone (Romans 5:1).  9. We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the complete cleansing of the believer from all indwelling sin, and that this cleansing is experienced after we have been born again (1John 1:7-9).  10. We believe that sanctification is a second work of grace to be received by faith, as instantaneous and definite a experience as is the New Birth; sanctification gives cleansing from indwelling sin, and growth in grace and consecration to God (John 15:2; Acts 26:18). 11. We believe that the Pentecostal baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire is a provision of divine power for sanctified believers; it is a definite experience received by faith, and the initial evidence of the experience in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4; 8:17;10:44-46; 19:6). 12. We believe that part of the benefit resulting from the death of Christ is divine healing for the body (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16 Exodus 15:26). 13. We believe in the pre-millennial Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; that He will come in Person and He may come at any moment. We love and wait for His, appearing (1Thessalonians 4:15-18; Titus 2:13; 2Petej 3:1-4; Matthew 24:29-44; 2Timothy 4:8)
